Usage

This template returns a Wikipedia article name for an alpha-4 script code:

• {{ISO 15924/wp-article|alpha4=Chrs}} → Khwarezmian language#Writing system

It is possible to format this into a wikilink:

• |format=wl Text into wikilink [[...]]

• |format=slink any #section will be presented with "§", the section-symbol (using {{slink}}):

ISO updates

• The ISO 15924 list of script codes is updated regularly, usually at least once a year. The current list is complete as of 6  2025, and defines 224 codes (code, number, script name).

• As of 24 September 2023, this template contains 271 ISO 15924 script codes. All are paired in both forms Xxxx and 123 (Alpha-4 and numerical). This 271 includes 50 distinct Qxxx codes. Some ISO-defined codes may have no ISO name, and/or may not be Unicode-defined.
