|charges|100|description|A splint kit can be used to rig up wounded bodyparts so that they can be used again. Useful if you have a leg injury and don't want to limp all the way back to town, you can splint up your leg and regain a little functionality.

They also have the bonus that any splinted damage counts against limb amputation in combat.

The amount of hitpoints you can splint is limited by your medic skill and the quality of the kit.|weight|2|Size|2x2|quality|25|Splint Kits are medical items used to improve functionality of injured limbs. Once applied, they help limping characters run normally, except in most extreme cases of limb damage. Players can learn how to craft this item by researching Splints. After researching, these kits can be crafted on any Medical Workbench. These kits can be stored in a Medicrate.

They can be found on Tech Hunters, who are knowledgeable about exploring the old ruins and, curiously, on Sand Ninjas who might carry them for training reasons. Traveling Gear Shops are also one of the buildings which sells them in the United Cities.Template:Crafting

Trivia

  • If you play with limbloss on frequent, then wound degeneration/limb damage via weather (Acid water/ground and beams) will still cause limbloss once below -100% health even if the limb is splinted.
  • No NPCs actually have the AI goal by default to use a splint kit, even if they carry one.
  • The UI for rigged health is shown as if it is a percent instead of a flat value. For instance, if you were to splint a Leviathans leg for 26 health (The most you can splint using a normal Splint Kit) the white bar which shows the rigged health would take up around 26% of the UI on their leg, although only 26 health was rigged, not 26% health.
